Great VRHS Article on HillCountryNews.com

Over the last several years, Robert Thomas of the Hill Country news has been covering the local high school sports programs.  I got to know Robert better this last year as I had more of my photographs published by the paper.  I intend to be a local “beat” reporter to help him out beginning in the fall.  Well anyway, he wrote a great story about the success of all the Vista Ridge athletic programs.  From a school that just opened their doors 5 years ago with just a freshman class, VRHS has excelled in almost every sport notching regional, state, and national titles along the way.

Happy Independence Day!

Happy Independence Day everyone.  May all of you be safe during the long holiday festivities.  I thought I’d share some of the photographs I took on Thursday, July 3rd at the Avery Ranch golf club.  Each year, the golf club and our homeowners association sponsor one of the areas larger celebrations.

The evening began a few hours before dusk when local bands entertained many of our residents.  They weren’t bad.  As I strolled over to the driving range to setup for the fireworks, I thought at 1st that it was a recording as a lady belted out Independence Day every bit as good as Martina McBride.    Anyway - enough of that - here are some of the photos that I took.  More are uploaded at my online galleries page.
